Clamp-on saddle Irritec 40 x 1" F: Quick branch and equipment connection without cutting the pipe
Italian company Irritec(Iritec) is a recognized global leader in the production of components for irrigation and water supply. The constant introduction of innovative technologies, high qualification of engineers, and strict quality control allow the brand to create fittings that serve flawlessly for years, significantly exceeding the official warranty period.
The compression saddle (branch-socket) for a 40 mm pipe with a full-size outlet for a 1" thread is one of the most popular solutions for mounting and modernizing automatic irrigation systems. It allows you to quickly create a new water collection point on a distribution or main line of medium diameter. To do this, it is enough to clamp the saddle on the pipe using bolts and drill a hole in the pipe wall through the threaded outlet.
Key advantages of Irritec saddle branches:
Maximum ease of installation: The branch design is developed so that the installation operation is as simple as possible. Any unprepared person can easily install the part in their irrigation system on their own. For installation, only a minimal set of tools is required (bolt key and drill with the corresponding drill or cutter).
Complete tightness of the system: Irritec saddles are equipped with special profiled rubber gaskets by default. They fit tightly to the contour of the PE pipe and completely exclude the risk of water leakage even with constant hydrodynamic fluctuations in the system.
Strength and corrosion resistance of the structure: The halves of the socket are made of primary technical polymer of high density, resistant to UV radiation and mechanical stress. For reliable fastening and durability, the node is equipped with strong steel bolts and nuts that are not prone to rapid oxidation in wet soil.
Time and material savings: Unlike standard compression tees, the installation of the saddle does not require cutting the 40 mm pipe. This significantly saves the installer's time, reduces the number of joint connections in the system, and preserves the linear strength of the pipeline.
Scope of application:
Quick installation and direct connection of 1" electromagnetic valves directly to the 40 mm zone or main pipe.
Creation of branches for new distribution lines of irrigation or long-distance drip irrigation.
Branching of system blowdown nodes with compressed air before winter conservation, installation of main drain valves, or installation of control sensors.
Organization of additional points of quick access to water (water outlets/hydrants) on the site.

Installation tip from Agras.ua: Before installing the saddle, carefully clean the pipe surface from dirt, dust, or burrs at the place of contact with the rubber seal. Tighten the bolts evenly from both sides in turn to avoid skewing the body. It is recommended to drill a hole in the pipe directly through the threaded outlet of the saddle using a pilot or standard drill of the corresponding diameter, trying not to damage the internal 1" thread.
