Compression elbow Irritec 50×50 mm (90° angle for PE pipes) Italy
The Irritec 50×50 mm compression elbow is a high-quality, premium-class, push-fit corner connector from a leading Italian manufacturer. It is designed for a sealed rotation of the pipeline at a 90-degree angle in automatic irrigation systems, industrial water supply, and irrigation. The fitting is used to connect two polyethylene (PE) main pipes of the same large diameter of 50 mm. Thanks to the clamping mechanism, the elbow withstands a working pressure of up to 10 bar and is mounted without the use of welding equipment.

Compression elbow Irritec 50×50 mm (90°): Reliable rotation of main pipelines without pressure loss
Italian company Irritec(Iritec) is a recognized world leader in the production of components for irrigation and water supply. The constant introduction of innovative technologies, high qualification of engineers, and strict quality control allow the brand to create fittings that serve flawlessly for years, significantly exceeding the official warranty period.
The compression elbow (90° elbow) with a diameter of 50 mm is a key element in the design and installation of powerful main nodes, automatic irrigation systems for large areas, and industrial water supply lines. It allows you to smoothly bypass obstacles on the section (building corners, fences, green plantings), change the direction of the pipe laying or lower the pipeline to the required depth in the trench at a right angle, minimizing hydraulic resistance and maintaining stable pressure in the system.
Key advantages of Irritec 50×50 compression elbow:
Simple installation on large diameters: The clamp construction of the fitting is designed so that installation work on the main pipeline is as fast and convenient as possible. No expensive welding machines or soldering irons are required to install the elbow fitting - the fixation on the pipe is carried out using a clamp nut, which can be easily tightened with a special compression key if necessary.
Maximum tightness under pressure: Thanks to the strong clamp and high-quality internal rubber NBR seal, the elbow withstands pressure up to 10 bar. It reliably holds heavy 50 mm PE pipes at corner transitions, eliminating the risk of water leakage or joint rupture during sharp hydroblows and pressure surges.
Wear resistance and chemical inertness: The product is made of primary high-density polypropylene. The material is resistant to ultraviolet radiation, temperature fluctuations, mechanical stress, and corrosion. The elbow is completely inert to chemical compounds and concentrated mineral fertilizers used for plant nutrition through the irrigation system, and is also certified for use with drinking water.
Repeated use: Unlike welded or glued corners, the Irritec compression fitting can be disassembled and reassembled multiple times. This is very convenient for seasonal maintenance of the irrigation system, blowing out lines with compressed air in winter, or for modernizing the main pipeline in the future.
Scope of application:
Rotation of distribution and main pipelines in automatic irrigation and drip irrigation systems at 90°.
Equipping transitions of 50 mm PE pipelines from the trench depth to the surface to water consumers or pumping stations.
Use in household and industrial cold water supply systems, connection of main filters and pumping stations.
Installation of blowdown and winter conservation nodes of irrigation systems.

Installation tip from Agras.ua:Before starting the installation, carefully clean the ends of the 50 mm PE pipes from dirt and debris, and also be sure to remove a small chamfer on the pipe cuts - this will protect the large rubber seal inside the fitting from cuts and scratches when pushing the pipe. Loosen the elbow nuts a few turns, push both pipe ends inside until they stop (passing through the rubber seal). Due to the large diameter of the pipe (50 mm), for complete tightness, it is necessary to make the final tightening of the clamp nut using a special compression or tape key.
