Compression elbow Irritec 40×40 mm (90° angle for PE pipes) Italy
Irritec Compression Elbow 40×40 mm is a high-quality angular press-fit premium-class connector from a leading Italian manufacturer. Designed for a sealed 90-degree turn in automatic irrigation, water supply, and irrigation systems. The fitting is used to connect two polyethylene (PE) tubes of the same diameter, 40 mm. Thanks to the ferrule gripping mechanism, the elbow can withstand a working pressure of up to 10 bar and is installed without the use of welding equipment

Compression elbow Irritec 40×40 mm (90°): Flawless rotation of main lines without pressure loss
Italian company Irritec(Iritec) is a recognized global leader in the production of components for irrigation and water supply. The constant introduction of innovative technologies, high qualification of engineers, and strict quality control allow the brand to create fittings that serve flawlessly for years, significantly exceeding the official warranty period.
The compression elbow (90°) with a diameter of 40 mm is an essential element in the design and installation of automatic irrigation systems for large areas, pump nodes, and distribution mains of water supply. It allows for smooth bypassing of obstacles on the site (building corners, fences, plantings), changing the direction of pipe laying, or lowering the pipeline to the required depth in a trench at a right angle, minimizing hydraulic resistance and maintaining stable pressure in the system.
Key advantages of Irritec 40×40 compression elbow:
Simple installation without special equipment: The clamp-based design of the fitting is designed to make installation work on the main line as simple and quick as possible. Any unprepared person can easily install the angle fitting in their irrigation system on their own. This does not require expensive welding machines or soldering irons — fixation on the pipe is carried out using a clamp nut manually or with a special compression key.
Maximum tightness under pressure: Thanks to the robust clamp and high-quality internal sealing ring made of NBR rubber, the elbow withstands pressure up to 10 bar. It reliably holds PE pipes 40 mm at angle transitions, eliminating the risk of water leakage or joint rupture during sharp hydroblows and pressure fluctuations.
Wear resistance and material safety: The product is made of primary high-density polypropylene. The material is resistant to ultraviolet radiation, temperature fluctuations, mechanical stress, and corrosion. The elbow is completely inert to chemical fertilizers used for plant nutrition through the irrigation system and is certified for use with both technical and drinking water.
Reusability: Unlike welded corners, the Irritec compression fitting can be mounted and dismounted multiple times. This is very convenient for seasonal maintenance of the irrigation system, blowing out lines with compressed air in winter, or if there is a need to re-plan the main line in the future.
Scope of application:
Rotation of distribution and main lines in automatic irrigation and drip irrigation systems by 90°.
Equipping transitions of PE pipelines 40 mm from the trench depth to the surface to water consumers.
Use in household and industrial cold water supply systems, connection of main filters and pumping stations.
Installation of blowdown and winter conservation nodes of the irrigation system.

Installation tip from Agras.ua:Before starting the installation, carefully clean the ends of the PE pipes 40 mm from dirt and debris, and also remove a small chamfer on the pipe cuts — this will protect the rubber sealing ring inside the fitting from cuts and scratches. Loosen the elbow nuts a few turns, push both pipe ends inside until they stop (passing through the rubber seal). Due to the large pipe diameter (40 mm), for complete tightness, it is recommended to make the final tightening of the clamp nut using a special compression or tape key.
