The Hunter Solenoid (Item 606800) is a highly reliable electromagnetic device designed to convert an electrical signal from a controller into mechanical valve action. This is the most important element of automation: it "opens the door" for water when it's time to water.
This model operates on 24 V alternating current and is standard for most network irrigation systems. If your irrigation zone has stopped turning on automatically, but works when manually opened, replacing the solenoid will bring the system back to life in minutes.
